We're kicking off The Agile Roundabout in the new year with one of our biggest ever events yet at Amazon's brand spanking new office just up from Liverpool Street. With capacity for 300 people and speakers from Amazon, Sky and Twitter - it's going to be huge! The talks will be focusing on Video, and the tech that drives it! Something we can all connect with!

Our first speaker will be Simone Campora, a Software Development Manager at Amazon Video. Simone leads one of the teams in the mobile group of Amazon Video. He is responsible for the delivery of experimental solutions with graphical user interfaces on Amazon Video applications on iOS and Android devices. Simone joined Amazon Video in 2016 as a Senior Technical Program Manager and has previously lead software development projects in different IT domains (Travel IT, Government, Research) across Europe and North America.

Then, we will then hear from Mat Johns, a Technical Solution Architect at Sky, who will be giving a talk on Refactoring Video at Scale. Mat's been at Sky working on Video for 5 years now, and has been one of the main drivers behind the success of their platform.

Finally we will be hearing from Sebastiaan Van Leuven, Senior Video Engineer at Twitter, who will be giving a talk titled "Reaching everyone everywhere with mobile video on Twitter". Sebastiaan supports multiple teams at Twitter to bring high quality video experiences in challenging environments. During his PhD, he was working on transcoding, scalable, and multi-view video compression and has contributed to the video standardization efforts of High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC). Agenda
