Building a Fintech Startup

4 April 2019

New York

Added 27-Mar-2019

Fintech innovation is bursting in the NYC startup community and around the country. In 2018, fintech companies raised more than $39 billion in venture capital (deals in 2018 were up 15% compared to 2017, while funding levels surged 120%).

New York has become a hub of fintech startups changing how we handle insurance, loans, payments, investments, and more.

This breed of startups faces a unique set of challenges like strict regulatory oversight and rigorous security requirements. Often, technology and risk management make development and launch costs untenable for many. They also face the challenges of an increasingly crowded landscape, including differentiation and the cost of acquiring customers

Join us as we find out how to build and launch a Fintech startup with some of the most experienced entrepreneurs in NYC in the Fintech space! We'll discuss

  • Identifying your target market

  • Understanding & adhering to rules and regulations

  • Building momentum for your product

  • Partnering and integrating with legacy financial institutions

  • Launching an MVP

  • Fundraising
