New Ideas, New Voices: Lightning Talks!

5 December 2019

London

Added 01-Jan-1970

The public speaking scene is challenging, not least when you are trying to break into it. We’ve all been there doubting our skills and ideas or maybe we just lack opportunities in our working day to practice. More often than not we just want a safe space to find our voice and rhythm, as well as receive some feedback. A lightning talk is a great way to do all of this.

A lightning talk is a very short presentation lasting only a few minutes, given at a conference or similar forum. Several lightning talks will usually be delivered by different speakers in a single session. (wikipedia)

Whether you are keen to present or just very happy to listen, learn or give feedback, everyone is welcome, regardless of your level of experience.

We can have 10 speakers for the evening. Sign up has been extended to stay open until 6pm on Wednesday 20th November. The current line up below is confirmed, anyone else signing up will be picked at random and advised by 21st November that they have one of the remaining slots.

There is no set topic to present on, so presenters can pick anything they are motivated to talk about. It is great if it is something related to their professional working domain, but it does not have to be work related, this is about passion, practice and confidence more than anything.
