About the Instructor
John is a Senior Data Scientist for Kroger's data analytics subsidiary, 84.51°. There, he leads analytical projects focusing on merchandising, customer targeting and store planning. John has also worked as a lead quantitative trader for over 17 years, accumulating expertise in quantitative modeling, risk management and team leadership. He has an MS in Analytics and a BA in Economics, both from the University of Chicago. John also works as a Teaching Assistant for the Introduction to Statistical Analysis and Machine Learning courses in the MScA program at the University of Chicago. When he isn’t working with data he spends time with his three sons, cooking barbecue or working out
