We are excited to invite you to the STEAMlabs Health Hack, a two-day FREE hands-on practical workshop to to develop new ideas and solutions for the future of the health sector.
This is the first STEAMlab event to be held in the brand new STEAMhouse in Digbeth, Birmingham!
What is a STEAMlab?
A STEAMlab is a hack-style event in which we bring regional SMEs and creatives together to collaborate and work together to find a solution to a real problem faced by another business.
We are focussing on the Health Sector and will bring together experts from across different industries and skill sets to develop new ideas and products in an open innovation environment
Who is this event for?
We are inviting creative professionals, makers, developers, scientists, engineers and academics who have relevant ideas or products keen or who are keen to share their expertise and learn new ways of thinking.

The challenge
The workshop will address challenges faced by NHS patients in understanding and accessing health services they need, and using some specific local challenges (such as diabetes) as a focal point.
The workshop will look at solutions to these specific challenges, building applications in other areas across the health service, with a high potential for scaling out successful solutions across the health sector.
