The Daily Stand-up Game

2 October 2019

London

Added 01-Jan-1970

One the most important rituals of any Agile Team is the Daily Standup where the team members get together and plan for their day. But quite often the daily standups turns into a status update meeting where team members come together to blurt out their updates and walk away to their desk without ever maximizing the benefit of that meet up. Teams eventually get bored of the daily meetings and often perceive them as a waste of time!

Raluca Mitan and Rade Zivanovic invented the Daily Standup Game to help scrum teams perform the daily meetings in an efficient way and get full value out of it. Through a deck of cards, Raluca's game addresses both the 'How' and the 'Why' of standups and is played during the meeting itself. Teams learn through repetitive reinforcements to correct behavior and build new habits, encouraging self-organisation. From her own experience, results were evident in a week!

Raluca Mitan is an agile coach, trainer, innovator and learner. She supports organisations in their agile journeys and love to experiment with teams and managers to continually improve work and make customers happy. Raluca is currently at Zeiss Digital Innovation Partners Lab in Germany, where she helps develop great products and support innovation and creativity.

Rade Zivanovic is an agilist who coaches organizations, teams, colleagues and friends, sometimes even family members and pets (when they tolerate it). He's been working in agile since 2010 and loves it. He worked in development teams at the beginning of his career, so he knows how it feels to be on the other side as well. He enjoys helping people and seeing them succeed.

Please note due to the strict security procedures at the PwC office in Embankment Place, you will need to provide your full name along with your company as you RSVP.
