Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on backend Java development (80%). You will work closely with our team to develop and maintain robust backend systems while also collaborating on frontend development using Varden. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within the financial services sector while leveraging your expertise in Java development.

Location: London (Office based, but fully remote role with quarterly visits to the office)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend systems primarily using Java.
  • Collaborate with the team on frontend development using Varden.
  • Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including Kubernetes.
  • Work with SQL databases, particularly Postgres, for data storage and retrieval.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of software solutions.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of applications.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Java development.
  • Start up experience/ financial services
  • Strong understanding of backend development principles and best practices.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices, such as Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with experience working with Postgres.
  • Bachelor's degree from a Russell Group university. ( STEM Degree)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
