DevOps Engineer - How do you see your future?

DevOps Engineer required by an established British E-commerce Group, to have a large stake in an already robust DevOps set up.

If the prospect of working on a diverse terrain mixed in with the latest AWS services, this is the place for you! We use Puppet, Cloudformation and Jenkins for automation and have a development team that abides by Agile software practices (Scrum).

Role Objectives

  • To work as an integral member of a Scrum development team alongside another DevOps Engineer

  • To be co responsible for the design, support and maintenance of the groups two main systems

  • To be co responsible for the management and support of development and live infrastructure

  • To be co responsible for the automated deployment process for infrastructure configuration and software releases.

  • To assist with the design, deployment and maintenance of new applications.

Requirements

  • AWS- help design, develop & support the cloud-infrastructure

  • Infrastructure as Code is your mantra (CloudFormation preferred)

  • 2+ years Puppet Experience

  • Good understanding of CI/CD (Jenkins)

  • 3+ years Linux systems experience

  • Competent scripter (BASH minimum, Python even better)

  • Experience of debugging a complex multi-server service

Package

  • Salary up to £75,000
