Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer you will be navigating around a hybrid cloud environment, a part of an extremely bright technical team. Alongside scaling and improving the cool AWS estate, you will also be close by to hardware and networking, both at customer's sites and in the internal private cloud.

Driving a DevOps culture will be your focus, contributing to building new and existing tools. You will be responsible for development, maintenance, and support of high quality systems and tooling

around both cutting edge and legacy systems.

  • AWS: Deploying, automating, maintaining

  • Build, release and configuration management of production systems

  • System troubleshooting and problem solving across several high-performance platform and application domain, particularly high-speed file transfer and real-time video delivery

  • Suggesting and implementing architecture improvements, recommending process changes, planning for and executing on continuous improvement objectives

  • Evaluating new technology options and vendor products. Ensuring critical system security

  • through the use of best-in-class cloud security solutions

Requirements

  • 3 years+ AWS experience (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS)

  • 5+ years Linux systems administration experience

  • Infrastructure as code; Puppet and Terraform

  • Very comfortable with networking, both in AWS and datacentres

  • Agile Methodologies

  • Continuous integration (Jenkins, concourseCI, Teamcity)
