Are you looking for a Bash job?

How your Bash skills can help you

Bash is a Unix Shell and command language and if you’re using GNU/Linux at the command line, you’ll be using Bash.  It was written as an Open Source replacement for the Bourne Shell in Unix based operating systems and released in 1989 and is the standard shell on major Linux distros and MacOS.  It’s even available now on Windows 10 now that Microsoft is offering more choice on Open Source solutions.

Bash is easy to learn, versatile and seems to be everywhere now, although some developers deem Bash to be somewhat basic because it seems like a slow way to interact with a computer.  Experienced users however who know how to properly use a shell realise it’s power with the dramatic changes and huge systems admin tasks  that can be made quickly and easily.  The Bash Shell seems to go against current software engineering trends but it appears to be around to stay and have value for every developer.

The other good news is that there are lots of Bash Shell jobs out there and that Bash Contract jobs have increased by 20% in the last year with a small fall of 6% for Perm.  Both salaries and contract daily rates have increased by approximately 6%.
