This month's event brings us to Canterbury at The Gulbenkian. We have some exciting talks lined up for you this month, suitable for all audiences regardless of tech knowledge. Don't miss out!

NOTE: Events at the Gulbenkian run differently to those at the Quarterhouse. You will need to sign up via Meetup or the Gulb site in order to get a free mini pizza and drink so will need to sign up yourself and your guests before the deadline :)

Schedule for the night::
7:00 - 7:30 - Drinks and mingling
7:30 - 8:00 - Why Rust? by Edd Barrett
8:00 - 8:15 - Intermission
8:15 - 8:45 - Cloud Automation with Low Code Tools by Nick Ellis
8:45 - 9:00 - Discussion and socialising

Why Rust?
For longer than I have existed, memory errors have plagued systems programming. Although many such errors are benign, sadly many end up being security vulnerabilities, or worse, exploits. In this talk, I will discuss how a security exploit is born, and how the Rust
programming language tries to prevent them.

Cloud Automation with Low Code Tools
Why reinvent the wheel? Or a trainload of wheels? Developers spend a lot of time creating integrations that already exist and are easy to access. A quick demo of how automation can extend developer capabilities quickly, easily and cheaply!
