Data Science for Product Development, by Alex Simonoff, Data Scientist at Spotify:
How do companies like Google, Facebook and Spotify innovate product while also catering to the users these products are intended for? This talk will cover the product development cycle including prototyping, iterating, testing and launching with a focus on data science across each of these crucial steps. This talk is geared towards a moderately technical audience and will assume knowledge of T-tests and other basic statistical concepts.

Speaker bio:
Alex Simonoff is a Data Scientist on the Product Insights team at Spotify. Previously, she held a similar position at Etsy as well as AIG. Specific to her time in the Tech industry, Alex has focused on data science for product development with an emphasis on experimentation and statistical rigor. She has a passion for using data to tell stories in an effort to shape product roadmaps and build empathy and appreciation for the end user experience.
