Human Centered Design + Blockchain

14 November 2018

New York

Added 01-Jan-1970

We're early days in the world of blockchain, but the speculation that it will disrupt long-standing products and services is rampant. Several hurdles including scalability, usability, and functionality must be overcome for the technology to be adopted by the masses. As blockchain makes its way into the mainstream, it will be up to designers to temper its technical complexity with usability.

Human-centered design—a process of using in-depth understandings of human beings to create effective solutions to intractable problems -- is an essential tool in designing usable products that will enable blockchain's promise of democratizing information ownership and ensuring security and authenticity.

Join Chainhaus and Onward Labs, an open, energetic, hyper-curious venture studio that is building human-centered solutions to empower the masses, for some in-depth discussions about the ongoing challenges and insights designers face as they pioneer novel products that are shaping and shifting the paradigms of our future.
