In 2017 Amanda had the exciting opportunity to introduce business agility at Moonpig, one of the UK’s best known start-ups. This talk provides an in-depth case study based on her experiences and learnings. The talk will cover the vision - what Moonpig hoped to achieve - and a detailed account of how they introduced change, including restructuring teams, introducing lean working practices and championing a culture of self-organisation.

About the speaker:
Amanda began her career in the media, spending 9 years at the BBC before moving sideways in to technology. Having worked on a variety of software projects for the likes of NBC, MTG and BBC Worldwide, she joined Moonpig in 2014. She worked initially to introduce agile and lean practices within product and engineering, before going on to transform the wider organisation, introducing agile working across the commercial and marketing functions.
Amanda now works as a freelance coach supporting organisations to adopt lean, agile and growth methodology. She is passionate about building autonomous, self-organising teams aligned around clear missions. She believes in leveraging a lean approach across all value streams, creating systems of work that are optimised for delivering maximum value at a sustainable pace. She champions a culture of fast feedback and continuous improvement which puts customers and employees at the heart of the business.
