Meetup 2 - "Open Source & Distributed Testing"

16 October 2019

Eastbourne

Added 01-Jan-1970

The first topic is announced! Russ Miles, CEO of ChaosIQ, recently gave a talk to Expedia Group in London on his experiences with open source as a consumer, contributor and as a business. Russ will give the same talk at this event.

Titled "Open Source ... and its Enemies", this talk will explore open source in all its forms, from its benefits to its challenges. There will be something for everyone as the highs, and riches, of commercial open source software success through to the lows of constant license discussion and trolling are covered in this journey through the landscape of open source software.

Second topic now announced! Lee Turner has kindly offered to talk about "Testing distributed microservice based systems - tales from the trenches".

This talk will be a technical look at how we can effectively test microservice based architectures and how our testing strategy needs to change to handle the additional complexity.
