Quantum Computing with Superconducting Circuits

Added 01-Jan-1970

Peter Leek leads an academic research group at the University of Oxford working on the physics of superconducting circuits and their application to quantum computing. Peter’s group have recently developed a 3D-integrated circuit architecture designed to simplify the task of scaling highly coherent circuits to the many qubits needed for useful computing.

Peter is also the founder of Oxford Quantum Circuits Ltd, a spin-out company who are developing quantum computers based on innovations from Peter’s research group. In this meet-up Peter will explain how superconducting circuits can be used for quantum computing and discuss where the hardware development still needs to go before we have this potentially world-changing technology fully working.
