A well-known Travel & Tourism client of mine based in Central London are on the lookout for a Data Engineer to join their team. You will be working remotely for the time being due to government guidelines.

The guys are looking to bring someone on-board who will have the chance to be the go-to-person within the team and help interview and build a team around you. The company operate within the Travel & Tourism sector but are slowly but surely trying to re-emerge themselves as a Tech company who operate within the Travel & Tourism sector.

You will have technical ownership of your designs and services, as well as influence good coding practices among your peers. You will also deal with ambiguous and non-explored problem domains. The successful candidate will have come from a development background.

Skills;

• 2+ years of programming experience of data and data warehouse applications including managing complex data sets
• 2+ years of professional software development, data/data warehouse engineering, business intelligence, data science
• Strong experience working with SQL
• Experience working with Python
• Computer Science fundamentals experience in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis
• Experience developing cloud software services
• Valuable to have experience with the tools of the trade including a variety of modern languages and technologies (Java, Scala, Kafka, AWS, Python)
