PHP Developer

Location: Brighton

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (DoE)

WFH: 4 days a week

We are a market leading Media/MarComms Agency operating on a global scale with offices in 6 countries. Due to continued success and funding we are seeking to develop our Brighton based development team. We are seeking a mid-level developer with a strong understanding of PHP fundamentals to join our Brighton based team to support our backend systems. We thrive on innovation and are seeking a developer who can bring not only technical skill, but also a creative mind and a friendly attitude! Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and development of web applications built within PHP
  • Interfacing with Product Development and Data Analytics teams to aid in the development of web applications within a client facing role
  • Taking a hands-on role in the planning stage to contribute original ideas to the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of Core PHP, ideally with a modern MVC
  • Demonstrable commercial experience working with PHP (ideally 2+ years)
  • Good knowledge of web development fundamentals (HTML5, CSS3, MySQL or equivalent, etc.)
  • An understanding of the Agile method
  • Commercial experience making use of Git or BitBucket for version control
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices
  • Experience in cloud-based environments, making use of cloud technologies for development and deployment
  • Experience with Jira
