SENIOR DEVELOPER (PHP/JavaScript)

Location: London

WFH: Options available (as little as once a month in office)

Industry: Sports/BI (Agency Environment)

Salary: £70,000 - £75,000

We are seeking a confident developer with a background in PHP/NodeJS to take a hands-on role in the development of a fast-growing company. You should be a confident developer, as well as capable of working effectively within a multi-team environment including non-technical teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver technical visions for an international clientele
  • Work closely with head of projects and MD to meet both current and future user needs
  • Monitor, manage and provide progress on all software development activities
  • Ensure delivery with Agile approach
  • Take an active role throughout the entire SDLC

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • A background in software engineering, ideally with a strong portfolio of custom builds
  • Knowledge and demonstrable experience with PHP and MySQL
  • A good understanding of NodeJS
  • A solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (ideally with React or Angular)
  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
  • Knowledge of unit testing and TDD principles
  • Some commercial experience with AWS
  • A good understanding of SOLID principles
  • Wordpress custom theme and plug in development experience is a plus
