Java Software Engineer - £70k - Fully remote - 4 day working week (paid for 5)

I am working with a world leading marketing platform whose mission is to connect advertisers and publishers together for mutual success. They have 15+ locations worldwide and employees have full flexibility to work from any one of those locations as well as from home.

They are looking for a Java engineer to join their dynamic, fast paced agile environment. You will collaborate to ensure we deliver quality solutions that satisfy the advertisers and the publishers using the platform.

Your role:

The role As a Java Software Engineer you will be responsible for writing elegant code and having a desire to constantly refactor and improve legacy applications. You need to be comfortable building microservice applications for AWS using serverless technologies, ideally message brokers such as Kafka, Kinesis or Google pub-sub.

Must haves:

• Commercial experience of writing applications with Java
• Experience using Springboot framework for creation of microservices
• Comfortable building microservice applications for AWS

Nice to have:

• Experience in using Gradle
• Has strong problem-solving skills
• A sense of ownership and responsibility for the work you and your team deliver
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Experience working on subscription or high-volume transactional systems
