Product Owner

Want to join a leading start-up in London that is fast growing, where the role is both challenging and varied, with opportunities to learn and develop along the way this is the role for you.

The company are looking for a Product Owner to join their Tech Team, who enjoys working in an agile environment and wants to get their hands stuck into the wild world of product management from the beginning of the product lifecycle to the end.

You will be working in a strategic role in the Product Management team, reporting to the Head of Product and working in a small team. You will bridge the gap between Product Management and the Development team; you'll translate definitions of products and projects into manageable tasks for completion by a team of own in-house and off-shore developers.

You will be joining a leading start up with a focus totally on quality of output. They are a small team where where the level of skill is extremely high. They focus on a range of products that are revolutionary and have built a number of products with a focus on making parking forgettable. Completely new idea meaning the growth has been great. Founded in 2013 they have around 20 staff and growing.

The Role

As the Product Owner, you will be working within an agile environment and working on the day-to-day Product contact, working alongside wider teams to manage requirement gathering, analysis and manage stakeholder expectations and writing user stories. In addition, you be working collaboratively with the rest of the Product team requirements for client specific features and functionality, in relation to the overall product roadmap. As well as this, you will also collaborate with other departments to better understand the requirements of the product and how it can enable other teams to deliver to the high standard.

The team is given a large amount of autonomy and the freedom to make quick decisions that positively impact the product.

Key Technologies and Skills

  • 3-5 years of prior product owner/ management

  • Experience working with Scrum or Kanban agile methodologies

  • Experience working in business-to-business markets.

  • Working knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development

  • Knowledge of SaaS (Software as a Service) environments

  • Previous experience with start-ups and / or SME's (highly desirable)
