Senior Java Developer - Fast Paced Start Up (AWS,Spark,Kafka)

We are working exclusively with a company based in finance and retail to bring in a new senior Java software engineer. The company was founded 10 years ago and has continued to grow exponentially ever since. They are now looking for an experienced with senior Java software engineer with experience in microservices architecture as well as demonstrable exposure to technologies such as Docker and cloud-based technologies such as AWS. Since their launch the company has made a massive impact in the market processing over 2 billion pounds worth of applications in that period.

This position is for a senior Java software engineer extremely confident in writing and consuming restful API's on a platform that has processed over 900,000 applications in the past 12 months. Along with being heavily hands on, this role will see the individual leaving and growing a team with the goal of achieving the highest quality of work as efficiently as possible. You will be expected to help grow and up-skill engineers within the team as a senior Java software engineer. Their is massive opportunity for growth in this role as well as building applications with a massive focus on performance, scalability, reliability and security.

Must Have Skills:

· Very strong Java

· Microservices knowledge

· A mathematics of statistical background

Nice to have skills:

· A background of having worked in fintech, start-up or retail based environments
