Role: Senior QA Analyst

Minimum experience: 5+ years

Location of role: Nassau County, Long Island

This is the chance to work with one of today's leading providers of cutting-edge B2B retail technology platforms. They offer a full-suite commerce SaaS solution to specialty retailers of all sizes. The solution is a variety of modules which include Point of Sale, Merchandising, eCommerce, CRM, and Loss Prevention.

They've managed to establish a pristine track record since launching in the mid-'80s, take pride in never going through a major layoff as well as being completely debt-free and privately owned. Since then they've acquired over 100 clients such as Tom Ford, Pandora, Kenneth Cole, now have close to 200 employees, and gross approximately $20M in annual revenue.

They are now in need of an experienced Sr. QA Analyst to help them move forward with the launch of a new suite of products and features.

Role Highlights

  • Be part of a fast-paced environment performing hands-on testing on their top-rated products and features.
  • Working with developers to find solutions for any issues that arise, all the while leading QA efforts for various projects.
  • Develop tools in order to test efficiently while overseeing team members and training others to deeply understand how clients use the platform and prevent them from seeing bugs.

Responsibilities

  • Support new as well as existing product releases and prepare them for end-user testing while troubleshooting issues that come about.
  • Create as well as execute both manual and automated test scripts.
  • Write test plans, cases, and summaries all to be included in the test documents.
  • Complete reviews after successful deployments and provide a detailed report of all identified bugs.
  • Take part in the review of standard company processes and procedures.

Ideal Candidate

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent professional QA experience.
  • 5+ years' experience testing with most of the following coding languages: Java, C, and C#.
  • Experience implementing complex retail systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills coupled with strong analytic abilities.
  • Experience with QA automation, shell scripts (UNIX), databases, APIs (REST/SOAP) and a thorough understanding of SQL.
