Software Security Engineer

Explore Group are working on a brand new Security Engineer role with an exciting London-based Fintech, who have built a flexible payments service to rival the likes of Klarna, Paypal and Clearpay.

This is a good opportunity for someone from a Java development background who would like a career in cyber & information security - protecting one of the most important forms of data - payment card information.

The company are looking for

• Someone with lots of energy who is passionate about security
• Automation experience, ideally from a Java Spring Boot background
• Someone who understands zero-trust and how to overcome vulnerabilities
• Good experience securing/hardening Linux and Docker systems

Responsibilities

• Working in an agile environment on customer critical systems
• Reviewing systems, developing mitigations to security issues and risks
• Continually improving systems, tooling, practices, and company's security knowledge
• Working with both systems and data to ensure information security
• Participating in security compliance and escalations

Remote Work

• Fully remote until COVID restriction end (April or July)
• Afterwards, split of on-site and remote work
